LYT.Transit NextGen Transit Priority Solution To Improve Traffic Throughout Busy Nashville Corridor
LYT has been awarded its first project in coordination with the Tennessee Department of Transportation (TDOT) and The Nashville Metropolitan Transit Authority (Nashville MTA) and the Regional Transportation Authority of Middle Tennessee (RTA), which are operating bodies of WeGo Public Transit.
As part of the new agreement, LYT’s leading transit priority solution, LYT.transit, will be deployed to 29 signals throughout Charlotte Ave. for a one-year pilot project funded by a public grant through TDOT. According to data from Inrix, Nashville is ranked among the most congested cities in the world. The company recently analyzed more than 1000 cities globally and 295 in the US. Nashville ranked 131st worst among those cities, and 24th in the U.S. for congestion.
“Nashville is one of today’s growth-focused cities in the U.S., and their progressively minded approach to transit solutions illustrates they are focused on developing intelligent mobility solutions for regional commuters and businesses. We believe that our partnership and technology represents a significant leap into the future for Nashville motorists, built on our proven AI-enabled transit solutions.”
